Happy 37th anniversary to A Chorus Line’s Broadway opening! I don’t think I’ll ever tire of this show.
This is great news. I’ve known about this for a while. But there’s a big part of me that really really does not want this to happen, since Larry Pressgrove is supposed to come here to direct “Spring Awakening” in the spring, and I’m going to be the Asst. Music Director/accompanist/etc. And if “[title of show]” goes to Lun-dun, then he won’t be coming to Champaign-Urbana.
I’m torn.
John’s part in this song is going through my head as I’m getting packed for my trip to Yellowstone & Glacier National Parks. (And I think my roommates are singing Jen’s part.)
Just stumbled upon the Last 5 Years demo & the final performance I have in my iTunes. Resisting the urge to stay up late listening to them all. I love that show, and have some of the best memories from the few times I’ve played it.

The crummy thing about finding songs on YouTube is the awful pictures people put up with the songs, this being a good example. Don’t let that take away from the song itself.
(Another good example? Jason Robert Brown’s “Someone To Fall Back On” turned into a Harry Potter love story: http://youtu.be/_oeX9uvewx4)
I’m not sure how I’ve missed this being a part of my personal “repertoire,” so to speak, but after stumbling upon the vocal score in our library this afternoon, I’m spending the night checking this out.
(I’m secretly hoping I fall in love so I put this on with my co-MD/cellist friend sometime this next year.)
(The Spotify playlist is embedded below. Allegedly. I have no idea if that’ll work or not.)
Is this “Bat Boy” or “Legally Blonde”?
